smothered hope

I finally quit my job 13.03.06 4:04 p.m.

Ok, I did it: I am unemployed as of March 31st. I just realized my resignation is effective as of my three-year anniversary. Three years: a new record.

I am experienced and available for the following: modelling, sewing, writing, coffee-slinging, conspiracy theorizing, plot-hatching, worshipping (with myself as the deity, natch), warbly singing, geeking-out, kitty-petting and maintenance, laundry advice, drinking games, work-out sessions, rock and roll opining, funk dancing, movie-watching, bike rides, bargain-hunting, dressing up as Jar-Jar Binks to destroy a miniature Tokyo before having my ass kicked by Godzilla, baking apple crisp, drinking tea, modest web design, zine management (but I'm not really offering my services for that one right now), mocking hipsters, stocking record store shelves while being the nicest record store clerk ever, drawing cartoons, and kicking metaphorical ass.

I have experience and absolutely no interest in the following for the time being: asset management; accounting; software licensing; customer service; fielding complaints; answering phones; dressing like someone's aunt; data entry; putting up with sexual and psychological harassment; office politics; backstabbing; gossip; going without a raise for two and a half years; being told flat-out that I will never receive the same benefits as others who never did my job as well as I do. This list continues, but I've outlined the most important items for you here.

If you have creative and challenging work which pays actual cash monies, please feel free to contact me, and I will take time out of my busy Ramen-eating schedule to reply.
