standard update, "cheerful" mode 07.09.06 1:48 a.m.
I've been at school this week. Being back full-time is like being young(er) again; I was so accustomed to being somewhere out of obligation and need, I'd forgotten what it was like to learn. It's nice to sit back and let someone else give me what *I* want, for a change. To have someone listen, and most of all, to have someone actually care about what I have to contribute in return, without judgement, without demand.
The rotten cold I had last week seems to have abated. I can breathe properly, and food tastes good again.
My friend showed up at my house with sewing machines I can use while she's away in Europe. I've already made a book tote for carrying my humongous texts to school.
I have Thursdays and Fridays free, which means I've plenty of time to sew, do homework and relax.
Life is looking pretty good right now.
